Why is taking time to create your Business Plan important? Taking your time to create your plan will result in an impressive document. Treat your time as if your business is completely dependent on it. Good time management is critical to help your business grow and be successful. Why is a business plan important? Your business plan is your open window into your business. It tells all about your business and you as an individual. Why is it important to have a well organized business plan? A well organized business plan will immediately tell the reader that you know your business, and will entice the reader to continue to read on. When your business plan is clear and concise the reader will be left with the impression that your business is also well organized and runs well. Why do you need a Table of Contents? There are very few investors who will read through your plan from the beginning to end. A well designed Table of Contents will ensure that the reader of your business plan won't waste time searching through your business plan for the information they need to form a valued judgment of your business in order to make an intelligent investment decision. Why is the organization of Table of Contents important? The Table of Contents of a Maze Developed Business Plan is organized as most bankers and investors expect. Its' organization groups information in a logical manner, making the flow extremely easy to follow. Every item has a specific location within the plan. We never put the "cart before the horse" Why does the Maze Business Plan use MS Word or WordPerfect as an editor? Most of us are comfortable using these readily available commercial word processors. Because we know how to use them, the learning curve has been reduced to only an hour or less rather than many hours, days or even weeks to learn new software. After all you have a business to run and make it grow. NOTE: Use your word processor to spell check your documet! One great mistake you can make is to have misspelled words (even simple ones). Take advantage of its thesaurus and grammar checking features. Why don't I hear back for the people I have sent my Business Plan to? Most unsolicited business plans get a cursory look at at best. If you are fortunate enough to have yours read even so briefly, those persons reading it will spend ten to fifteen minutes at most, MAKE the BEST of their time. Initially just send an enticing introductory letter briefly describing your project. You may possibly include a copy of your executive summary. Be succinct, be brief, and most of all do NOT send your entire plan until asked for! Why is it important to proofread a business plan? Having your business plan proofread by someone who did not participate in its creation is suggested. Proofreading provides another clear perspective as well as checking for misused words such as "you" when you meant "your". Leaving off the 'r' can give the content a different meaning.
